You'll be OK. It is more likely HD channels on brand new cards that will be paired in the future.

Well I would not recommend a renewal!
I have been extremely disappointed with the package, because although it has great potential it is so impractical, and with all the issues, just not worth it.
I bought the gold package expecting:
1) The football which I have no complaints about
2) Films/movies Which are OK when you find them, but with no English listings one cannot plan to view a film you just have to find one, which usually involves missing part of it a waste of time really so a waste of money.
3) HD channels I understood it was a trial but with a view to increasing the number of available HD channels in the future (which is now) but I was NOT informed that this was additional subscription.
As an aside, we find the channels moving, or effectively dropped (xxx, 4x).
I may consider just the football but there again who knows, if they keep moving the channels, or transmitting SD under MPEG4 they are effectively lost.
As an aside I know the porn channels are of little interest to many (including me), but if this is a sign of things to come (pardon the pun) it may end up with the football which cannot be received if they change those as well. I have a Humex HDCI2000 so although I should be able to get xxx & 4x, I cant I think because it is not HD the Humex will not scan them, but it is not standard SD either so will not display again if they decide to follow this compression format for other channels it effectively puts the whole package in the bin!

if you are only intrested in sd then no.In the future for HD then yes.DM has no control what DigiALB will do but at the moment they give you HD as a bonus at the moment. That my not be true in the future. The pairing will happen in the future but on HD.

All I was saying is you have no control over what decisions Digialb do in the future.
It was in no way a slant on you or alsat, just a point that digiAlb are a rule to themselves.

OK< so if I understand correctly, if I do not want HD, I can go on and renew my card without changing the receiver. But what about this MPEG4 that has been mentioned a few times?
