Is it possible to play HDDVD on PS3? Is there a crack to allow HDVD playback?

not possible as the laser is completely different ,bluray only .It would appear Bluray is fast outselling HDDVD anyway so it wont belong before the HDDVD demise

Buy a Toshiba HD DVD and get 7 !!!! HD DVD's free . All for £200 . You cant get better than that at the moment .

you could buy a XBOX HD DVD drive and hack it and use it on your pc and possibly stream to your PS3....mad idea though...

You can download HD-DVD rips of the internet, convert them and then watch them, ive doen this with transformers and shrek 3, no loss of quailty, must say im not totaly overwhelmed by HD though.

I'm impressed if you've d/l a HD DVD , I've got a few , and each one is around the 30gb per film mark .

If its anything less than that , then it can't be real HD or Blueray , and your not comparing the real thing .

there mkv files with correct resolution, ive got a real blu ray aswell and wasnt overwehelmed
