I am thinking of suscribing to digitalb, I live in the southwest tip of Ireland, so I need a far bigger dish here as the footprint of most sats is weaker here, what size dish would I need to get very good reception here? I live in an exposed hill side and suffer from bad reception in windy weather!

I would say that the triax 1.1m dish you have listed would be more than adequate for digitalb even in south west. I get digitalb on 85cm dish more northern part of rep. ireland although picture goes in bad weather. If your site is exposed it would need the dish to be secured against movement more than a typical site.

guys i live in the athlone area ireland midlands and just have enough signal witha 1.1 metre dish for digital albania. it should be better but i have tried everything changing lnb aligning dish again. my dish is tracking all sats so is good. It is a technomate dish maybe it is the make of my dish. So be carful what you buy i am getting 69 signal. Not sure if this is enough as i do not have a digital alb card.

69% should pull it in on the TM1500 but may break up in bad weather.

Try turning your LNB from side to side a bit , also moving forward or backwards as this can gain a few extra %.

Im in the sligo Area,
I get 76% in clear weather and it will break up if it goes below 69% on a TM1500+Super. It does take very bad weather or wind to break it up.
I have a 88cm Dish.

a 1.1m dish should be more than enough for 16east, regarding the reception in windy weather you might be better to swap the motor for the triax polar mount and actuator motor, this is much better in windy weather stops the dish from moving about

Galway city. 1.1m gilbertini with titanium .2lnb. Without putting the kiss of death on it, never had a problem with signal for digitalb. even during bad weather signal been constant. My motorised dish is as low as i dare put it in back garden to protect from wind. My LNB is slightly skewed (5 oclock position) for reception of MBC channels on 26east. All other birds come in nice and strong.

P.s Interesting thread for us Irish members.

how can i improve my signal of 69%? ok my sharp lnb may not be the best but if you look in the lnb section of the forum william tested this lnb againts most of the others and it performed about the same? so what can change my lnb to a???? or change my dish from a technomate dish. would my dish be the problem any other technomate dish users in ireland getting a better signal than 69% on digital albainia. It is not alignment see all sats in the sky tried adjusting before but i seem to at the peak on adjustments. advice please
